Abuowaamenge is a bright and determined with a dream of becoming a nurse. Tragically, her father passed away a few years ago, leaving behind three children in the care of her mother and their aging grandfather. Her grandfather’s old age and her mother’s limited economic opportunities make it difficult to provide even the basics, such as three meals a day. At times, the family has struggled so much that Abuowaamenge has had to miss school due to a lack of food to eat before attending.
Despite the hardships, Abuowaamenge continues to dream of a brighter future. Her favorite subject is Integrated Science, and she has a natural curiosity for learning and helping others. Her favorite food is rice and beans, and her favorite color is white, symbolizing the purity and hope she carries within her.
