Ida Kaa is a kind and hopeful nine-year-old girl with dreams of becoming a police officer when she grows up. Tragically, Ida’s father passed away when she was just one year old. Due to the financial hardships her family faced, Ida’s mother remarried and left her in the care of her grandmother.
Life has been very challenging for Ida and her aging grandmother. Her grandmother often struggles to provide food and other basic needs because she is old and no longer strong enough to work consistently. Despite these challenges, Ida remains determined to pursue her education and achieve her dream of one day serving her community as a police officer.
Ida’s favorite food is rice and stew, a simple dish she enjoys when it is available. Her favorite color is yellow, which reflects her optimism and hope for a brighter future. She also loves “Babar the Elephant,” a character that inspires her with his leadership and kindness.
